The Anthropological Papers of the University of Arizona is a peer-reviewed monograph series sponsored by the School of Anthropology. Established in 1959, the series publishes archaeological and ethnographic papers that use contemporary method and theory to investigate problems of anthropological importance in the southwestern United States, Mexico, and related areas.
About the Author
Robert M. Herskovitz completed his undergraduate work at Hofstra University and received his M.A. in anthropology from the University of Arizona. He has done archaeological fieldwork in Arizona, California, and New Mexico, and he prepared the Fort Bowie report while serving as Archaeologist with the Arizona State Museum. In 1975 he assumed the position of Preservator at the Arizona Historical Society, Tucson.
